DAVID A. NELSON, Circuit Judge. After the defendant company terminated an agency agreement with the plaintiff sales representatives, the latter brought suit for breach of contract, retaliatory discharge, and interference with advantageous business relationships. A jury returned a verdict for the plaintiffs on the breach of contract claim, and the plaintiffs were awarded a total of $4 million in compensatory damages. We are asked to decide whether the jury's verdict was tainted by passion and prejudice; whether the verdict was against the manifest weight of the evidence with respect to liability, damages, or both; and whether the plaintiffs' claim for future commissions was ripe. For the reasons stated below, we shall affirm the judgment as to liability and remand the case for a new trial as to damages.
